Right since the inception, Trident College of Marine Technology has also been the Epicenter of the entire shipping related activities in Eastern India, thus maintaining a close touch with the Seafarers from this part of the country. Keeping in mind the availability of quality manpower in Eastern India & also to diversify into the field of Marine related activities, the formation of “Trident Marine Services” was done in July 2002 which is a division of Ascon Agro P.E. & B. (Pvt) Ltd., having its Registered office at 127, Kankulia Road, Kolkata - 700 029. 

TMS has been set up with the following objectives:

• To supply manpower in good measure & quality to Indian & International Shipping industry.
• To undertake the technical management of vessels.
• To venture into the area of ship owning.

TMS has already set up its office in Kolkata & Mumbai. At this juncture TMS is mainly concentrating on manning of vessels. In this regard TMS is already under the empanelment of the various Indian / foreign shipping Companies including The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. for supply of manpower.

TMS has successfully placed a substantial number of Candidates in various Indian & Foreign Shipping companies through Campus & Off Campus Interviews. TMS is maintaining an enviable placement record and a very rich database of competent candidates.

Along-with the placement activities, now TMS is exploring the possibility of venturing into ship owning as well.

In the first phase, TMS plans to acquire 2 nos. vessels of approx. DWT of 10000 MT.
